The CanopyThe Canopy will provide a new and innovative home for organisations working on issues related to international development and climate change. It will be the UK’s first large-scale commercially-funded timber-frame office building, bringing a unique opportunity to the international development sector through a groundbreaking project package, involving not only the construction project, but also the provision of in-house services and strategic advice to end users. The building will be carbon-positive in construction, and will contain a range of innovative applications to reduce energy use, cut costs and improve environmental sustainability. Our remit is not only to deliver an exemplar building to house our clients, but also to supply long-term support services in areas such as fund-raising; partnership and stakeholder management; business development; event management; and project financing. At a time when funding is increasingly tied to results, The Canopy will thus give its tenants, and London as a whole, a precious advantage in the competition to attract and retain funding and employment in the international development sector.
